Month 2: Days 8 - 10

Going to Akins again today with my gift certificate in hand. I'm really excited about today for some reason. I guess it's just a full day with a lot to accomplish and honestly plenty of time. Been in the process of moving into my new house which let me tell you (as I'm sure you already know) is a serious workout. Trying to move as few boxes filled with as much as possible is like lifting weights up and down stairs, into and out of the car, etc....it's a seriously arm / back trial. Anyway, all I have left to move is my bed and my clothes. Shouldn't be too difficult, just will take some time.

As of this morning, I weigh 201lbs. I am getting so excited for the day (which will be soon) when I weigh under 200. I have not weighed under 200 pounds in over 6 years, which is ridiculous to me!

My goal is still 185, but I only have 16 pounds left to go! I've lost a total of 26 pounds all without starving myself, without crazy diet pills or insane hours and hours of exercise, without supplements or counting calories. Simply switching to a whole foods plant based diet. That's it! There are more and more reasons to do so now. Even just partly! Even if you just go vegan one week every month! Just TRY IT! You'll save money, lose weight, feel better, and get healthy. How hard is that? It's not at all.

I wish I could have gone to the doctor like I had originally planned at the beginning of this diet experiment. Just got busy and didn't make the time for it. However, I'd love to go to the doctor at the end of this experiment and get all of my vitals checked just to see where I stand with the status quo of society. Having a blood pressure under or around 120/80 is recommended, my recommended weight is around 180-185, heart rate at rest should be somewhere 60-80bpm, and cholesterol should be under 200. At the time I'll be getting checked, I would have been on the diet for 12 weeks - mid May.

Thanks to everyone for your support and your kind words, especially all the people calling me "skinny boy" now and telling me I look like a new man. Special thanks to my Fiance for being supportive and helping me make good choices and be strong. Special thanks to my parents, friends, and coworkers dealing with me talking like a plant strong hippie for the last 6 weeks...and of course, special thanks to the Forks Over Knives team.
